A preserved wood located in Kamigou, Ageocity. On Jan.9, 2001 we had a rather heavy snowfall but it turned out clear fine day on the next day of Jan.10 with strong sunshine warm enough to melt rapidly the layer of snow. I went to the wood and started painting the scenery before the snow melting away. There still remained the snow in patch on the ground in the wood with bussy acoustics of the dropping water from melting snows. I placed the easel and stool to sit upon for painting. The spots of snow were rapidly changing to water. The fallen leaves on the ground looked redder yet than usual as wet. But soon after I took to painting, every surroundings suddenly freezed to silence. The clear blue sky is so purely transparent as it looked dark and the trees standing tall in the freezed atmosphere looked even solemn. The rods of small tree branches were reflecting the sunshine like white silk strings. A rather big arm of tree was swinging to fall at any moment provablly broken by the weight of the snowfall.
